Overview

Delivering Powerful Presentations is a two-day highly interactive course, which provides intensive videotaped, verbal and written feedback. Participants will focus on building all necessary elements to create an audience-engaging, well-structured, persuasive, and dynamic presentation. To encourage application of the skills and tools introduced in the course, participants will create and/or polish a real-work presentation during the training. There will be an evening learning opportunity (homework) on day one.

Outcomes

Upon completing this workshop, participants will be able to:

understand the needs and expectations of the audience
prepare engaging, informative and persuasive presentations
organize presentations and select visual aids for maximum impact
deliver powerful presentations using the GLUE model
handle difficult questions and harpoons effectively

The workshop is offered as a two-day class, with a total of 14 hours of class time. Enrollment is limited to 8 participants per workshop. Participants are required to give an 8-10 minute work-related presentation on the second day and may need to work outside of class to prepare this presentation.
